MP Navigator X and macOS Mojave

My father has a canon scanner Lide 110 that uses MP Navigator X.

That software does not longer work with macOS Mojave, it wont even start. That sucks.

Does anyone know of a good scanning software that works with Lide 110?

Preferably software that detects multiple photos and saves them individually as jpegs.

thanks.

I understand that the Epson software is available and works with Mojave, even with older models of their printers. It is time to switch back to Epson. The clogging problems are gone and they support their customers.

The above answer, using System Preferences, click on "Printers and Scanners", worked for my MX320.  It's too bad that Canon doesn't support their printers for very long, but at least using the Apple utilities I don't have to totally junk it yet.  I had tried newer versions of MP Navigator, but they would not support my older model.

Compared to MP Navigator, IJ Scan Utility Lite is awful. Also it doesn't allow me to use the 'scan to computer' functionality on my print/scanner's screen.

This is a terrible solution for mac users. Canon is pathetically lazy, either update MP Navigator or make a better solution than this lite nonsense.

I have a Scanner 9000F and used to digitize my olds pictures. Now with Mojave MP Navegator is not working. I use IJ Scan Utility Lite to scan but I can't film scanning.

Canon adviser, the answer is buy a new one? or we are working to up date MP Navegator program?

Please I need an answer

Jnaa54 does your printer have th option to scan to a usb storage drive? That’s what we’ve been using. Extremely slow and annoying but it works.

Image Capture, which is supplied free from Apple, seems to work fine with scanning from my MacBook Pro. Set the printer to sharing in the sys prefs. It works with transparencies and slides. I bought and returned Vuescan once I found that Image Capture worked. Due to lack of support for my MG8220's, I will change to another brand when I run out of ink.

Hey thanks a lot jet-silver! That worked to get the job done.

Mojave does not require 64 bit apps.

I have spent an enormous amount of time scouring sites and comment boards to find a solution to this problem with no success. I have called Canon and they refuse to even provide a human to discuss support. They have simply left their customers out in the cold. Seriously......UPDATE YOUR **bleep** PRODUCTS. At this time I have a large brick sitting on my desk with absolutely no viable solution. The least they couldve done is warn their customers. So, im forced to trash the unit and purchase a new one from a more reliable and dependable manufactuer. Thanks for nothing Canon.
