When installing Pixma ix6810 on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1

"Information acquisition error"
Failed to acquire driver and software information. Check the network connection and try again.

Anyone experiencing this problem?

I'm getting that same message as you. Did you end up fixing it? I've disabled firewall, checked connectivity, reset my router, disconnected other devices, checked permissions and still get the same error.
