I recently purchased an MG3620 and I can't seem to setup the printer using the wireless connection. The printer is not being found on the network. When I press and hold the wireless button (per on screen instructions) the on button does not flash once as it says it should on the screen. Can anyone help?

Ianissimo,
Please check to make sure that the ink cartridges have been installed. If the ink cartridges are not installed, the wireless configuration canot be performed. Next, review the file at the following link for directions on how to perform the wireless setup.

2020...same issue! At least I know I'm not alone. So frustrating...
Save your time and sanity and splurge on a better printer.

Hi, Ever since I changed my wifi router I am no longer able to connect my computer to the WIFI. Having gone through the above steps multiple times, I get through to part 2, It finds my printer, it tells me my connection is complete and when it starts to download the image garden (i think that is what it's called) it gives me a installation Failure everytime and makes me start over. I'm not sure else to do at this point. I just bought a brand new macbook pro OS 11.2.2. I'm trying not to pay $20 for phone support. so any other help would be appreciated.
Please help!

I had this same issue and the answer was too simple. I had not installed the two ink cartridges and the printer will not allow set up until this step is done. Oddly, this step is not included in the Getting Started instructions.

It is 2022 now and I had the problem of the wifi light just not flashing. Loaded the ink cartridges, still nothing. Reloaded them. Loaded paper and waited till the printer was done making noises sensing the loaded paper. Held the wifi button down for 3 seconds and the wifi light started flashing. Perhaps this was just an anomaly in the matrix at that moment and not a fix, but just may be it could help someone/

I had this issue as well. My wifi had both a 2.4 and a 5 network. In order for the printer to connect to one of them, we had to temporarily shut off one of the networks. Once the printer was connected, we were able to turn the other network back on. Then the laptop was able to connect to the printer easily.

There's no point in try these steps.
I've done²dê it over and over, and it doesn't work. Your best bet is to purchase a the usb cable that fits your printer and forgot about connecting wirelessly.

Start by uninstalling anything related to the printer, since you want a clean slate to start with.
Now, turn the printer on
Press and hold the "stop" button, while you're holding it down, you'll see that the Alarm light will start to flash.
Count 21 flashes.
This resets the printer.
Then do the set up all over again.
When you get to the part that it searches for the printer, manually turn off your Internet Wi-Fi and connect to the Canon option (printer), it should appear in the Wi-Fi list.
Then you're good to go!
