How do I set up the MX430 for wireless printing

My printer was working but then was turned off. Now I can't get it to print mode. How do I get it out of copy, scan and fax and back to print?

Is this a Windows computer by chance? Sometimes automatic Windows updates knock the printer into an "offline" status.

Go to the Devices&Printers in the Control Panel. Right click on the name of your printer and select "See What's Printing." In the upper left hand corner you should see the word Printer- click that and look for an option thats says "Use printer offline"- make sure that isn't checked. If it is, uncheck it and try to print again. If it's not, you may want to reinstall the drivers.

MerryMary,

Thanks sooo much. I reinstalled the driver and everything is working great. Appreciate all your input!

HELP! I cannot enter my password. The * key plus anything produces gibberish!

This is the most frustrating thing I have ever experienvced in 30 years of working with computers!

I'm trying to set up on ipadair2 it says no air printer found

I believe I have everything set up to receive email message, how ever it shows not connected and keep on showing trying to connect

My wireless password contains letters, upper and lower. How do I enter letters and change casing when I'm entering my password during setup?

Hi guerryclegg,

At first, your PIXMA MX430 will assume that you are entering in lower case letters.  To toggle between lower case letters, upper case letters and numbers, press the Tone (*)  key.  Each time the key is pressed, the printer will display a different character to the right of Enter passphrase.

If a mistake has been made, press the Left arrow to move the cursor underneath the character to be deleted.  Then, press the Back button to delete the character.  Enter in the correct character as needed.  Press the Right arrow to move the cursor to the end of the passphrase.  Continue entering in the passphrase.

I tried the link you gave on setting up the wireless:   https://www.usa.canon.com/CUSA/assets/app/pdf/wireless/setup_MX432_Win.pdf

and the Page was not Found. Do you have an updated link?
