I strongly advise that you go out and purchase your own wireless router, so that a new access point from your ISP will not "break" your network. Use a network cable to connect your ISP box to your own wireless router.
Most routers will allow you to set them up in what is known as a "pass through" configuration. In this mode, the ISP box will perform one main function, provide internet access. Everything else, including all of the security, is under your direct control. More importantly, your home network configuration will not change if you change providers, or if your provider changes hardware.
