G3200 cannot detect printer during setup

When attempting to install my G3200 printer software, I reach a point where I am directed to connect and turn on the printer. It is then that I connect and turn on the printer. It detects the printer for a few minutes then says printer cannot be detected.

You first have to connect your printer to your network if you want to print wirelessly. A printer is not a hotspot or you would find everyone printing to it because e wry one can see it. Whilst this might be a very humanitarian action, your paper, ink & other disposable items would need replacing very often .

so let’s get the printer connected to your router.
