Canon mf8050 - unable to communicate with android tablet and phone

This printer is connected to the router via an ethernet cable.  I can print to it from a windows machine that connect to the router wirelessly.  I cannot print from my Samsung android table.  searching doesn't find the printer and when i try a different manner to connect with it where I get to a point where I enter the up address that doesn't work either.   How can I connect and print to it.

I have tried using Samsung, mopria and Canon print services apps to no avail.

The MF8050Cn does not support printing from a mobile device. Most of our current network-supported imageCLASS printers support this feature, like the imageCLASS MF632Cdw and imageCLASS MF634Cdw.
