Hi, pbh123!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly which printer model you're using.  You'll find this on the printer's outer casing.  If you're in the United States, it's probably a PIXMA MX922, but we want to make certain. Any other additional details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

Thanks and have a great day!

Oppps! The printer is PIXMA 922, not 920. The printer is about one year old.

Using MacBook Pro OX S Yosemite  version 10.10.2

Hi pbh123,

Do you have the printer connected wirelessly or via USB cable?

YES PIXMA 920 AND IT WAS WORKING FINE THEN JUST STOPPED "RESPONDING"

IT IS not WIRELESS THANK YOU USING AN USB PORT TRIED DIFFERENT PORTS AND DIFFERENT CABLES, THE PRINTER IS ON BUT NOT RSPONDING

One thread above yours is the link: http://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Wireless-Networking/Mx920-Wireless-printing-problem/m-p/35599#M274... There are 16 tabs/sections of answers.  Go to the 15th [click on 16th then go back one].  The bottom line is if you set a static ip address to the printer ABOVE the DHCP range, you will never have a problem again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEqvUKxWmq4 But before you do this make sure you have the latest canon drivers for the MX 922 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tbeLfmJ5EY Set the static ip address in router and manually on printer AFTER you download latest drivers.

YES canon remotely reinstalled printer and so far so good:

Yes, but please note, if printer does not have a static ip address above the DHCP range with that remote installation [doubt it], then printer is always susceptible to going back offline again per the links sent; thus, may only be a temporal solution unless you install static ip address for printer
