Admin Password for Pixma iP8720

I have a Pixma iP8720, and it is connected fine with the USB cable.  However, I need to have it also set as wireless so I can access it from other rooms.  Now before I get the standard responses, here is what I have done.

I have wiped and reimaged my computer

I have done the recommended factory reset (which does nothing but spit out a blank sheet)

I have done the recommended holding of the Yellow button till the power blinks 6 times (does nothing but spits out a blank sheet)

I have tried "canon", "CANON", "PIXMAIP8720", and the serial number.  No go

I have tried all these steps on a separate reimaged computer, and got the same problems.

Each time, I have gotten an incorrect password error.  I have even downloaded the IJ Network Setup tool.  But it doesn't find the printer at all.  The wall in my office has a huge dent where I have been banging my head against it.  Any ideas of what I can do?  Oh, and by the way, I was doing this all under the local administrator profile.

The IP8720 does not support wireless direct.  This means it requires a router or external wireless network in your home or office.  The printer supports 2.4 GHz wireless that uses WPA2 encryption.  I expect that you would know the SSID name and password for the network you are connecting to.  😉

Yes.  When I go through the steps to connect the printer to my home wireless network. (https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART114946)  And I enter my SSID and WPA2 password, and click Connect.  Then it asks for the Admin password.  I have tried every way to get the Admin password, or to go around it.  I am stuck with the request for the Admin password showing up all the time.

Thank you for clarifying.  Use this KB article to print the WLAN settings.  The printer's default admin password will be at the very bottom.

Glad to.  Sometimes I get a little worked up and my explanations get a little confusing.  Hence, I did try the article you sent.  Unfortunately, it just prints out a blank page.  I looked up what to do from that, and Canon suggests to press the Resume \ Cancel button and hold it for 9 blinks of the power button for a plain reset.  Didn't work.  They then suggested pressing the Resume \ Cancel button and hold it for 15 blinks of the power button for a factory reset.  Both resets print a blank page.  So I'm stuck.  Thanks for the suggestion.
