Do you mean to capture less pixels (i.e. less resolution)? There should be settings mentioned in the user manual regarding image quality.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not very technical and have gone through the user manual. I have the settings on "S" so there can be 9999 photos, and it's on Auto. Is that the setting to produce the fewest pixels?

Yes. "S" would provide the least resolution (pixels) and create the smallest files.
