"No Camera Found" error PowerShot SX160, please help

I recently bought a PowerShot SX160, inserted the CD and installed the software on a Mac running OSX 10.5.8.

When I connect the camera, Camera Window DC gives me this message: "No Camera Found".

Please help me get my photos from my camera to my computer. Thanks.

Welcome to the Canon Forum.

The reason the software does not detect your camera is because it is not compatible with OS 10.5.  The earliest version of the Mac OS it will work with is OS 10.6.8.
