my camera cannot remember the date/time. must be reentered ea. time turned on.

I have a Canon SX160IS Power Shot camera.  It no longer is able to remember the date/time.  The date/time must be reentered everytime the camera is turned on.  When the camera goes off, then turned back on, the date/time must be reentered every time.  How can I fix this?

Your date/time battery is probably dead and should be changed when that happens. It is a CR1220 battery
