how to create a mp4 video from my new Canon powershot sx720 hs camera

I'm a new member so here it goes.

Just purchased a Canon powershot sx720 camera. Want to record on video from my new camera of my granddaughter volleyball games. Need to know how to convert the video format from my camera to a mp4 format. Any help would be appeciated. Thanks
