Try submurging it in hot water for a bit & try again. The water may expand the case a bit plus create a bit of pressure inside it. Once you get it opened remove & inspect the O Ring & if it's anything less than perfect replace it BUT just store it inside the closed case. Don't leave it in the groove when storing it.
