Shutter priority over ISO with ELPH 330?

Greetings,

I want to never use the flash so I have it off.

But the camera is not automatically using the higher 3200 and 6400 ISOs. Instead, when the light is very low, it sets the shutter speed very low and flashes the warning icon. I want the ISO to increase instead of the shutter speed decreasing causing a blurry image.

Thanks

Check your manual to see if the camera can be set to AUTO ISO, and if it can check to see if you can also set a maximum & minimum ISO to use. Not all cameras offer this so if your does learn just what can be set & how to use it when appropriate / needed.

Okay, the problem is Auto ISO does not seem to work. It is set to Auto ISO, but it *never* uses 3200 or 6400. It will make the exposure time sexonds long instead of using the higher ISO's.

Try setting the camera to "P" mode, then you should be able to set the higher ISO. Apparently the camera will not use the higher ISO in other mdes.
