Hi
I was just playing with the flash functions within 'P' setting toi enable continuous flash and realised that the flash won't fire in auto or forced modes. Any suggestions on what may have gone wrong?
Thanks

Hi GAV,
I am assuming you have the flash raised when you are experiencing the problem. One thing you could check is to see if the flash exposure compensation is set very low. If it is, try setting it higher. See below for instructions:
When the flash compensation is set to lessen the amount of flash, it may not fire if the camera senses there to be enough light for the photo. Also check that the flash is not turned off in the menu.

Hi Steve.
No luck. I reset the camera to factory settings to ensure I hadn't screwed the settings and no change. In 'P' mode with permanant flash, I get the half shutter 'beep' & the green light. Also the flash symbol flashes. When I fully depress the shutter I get the flash symbol flashing still but no picture is taken
