Powershot sx30 is

I bought 7” field monitor to use with my powershot SX30 IS I’m having difficulty getting the monitor to work right? I can see playback video and pics that are already saved to the sd card but it won’t work live on the monitor so I can take pics and video via watching the monitor????

Your camera is about 12 years old, and I suspect that it does not have a live feed video out feature.
