I recently encountered a problem with my Canon Powershot SX540 HS camera. When trying to connect to transfer images from my camera to my phone, I was not able to make a connection. I have never had this problem before and successfully transferred images 2 weeks ago.
I have tried several things to try to establish a connection and get to the final step just to get an error message - connection failed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Canon Connect app, I have tried different wifi networks, I have tried to connect to a different phone and my computer.
I did find that I need to update firmware, but I have had trouble with this as well. I followed the steps and when inserted the SD card, the firmware option is not available on the menu.
Please help!
