PowerShot SX70 HS switched to wrong language

Jim_Roberts

PowerShot SX70 HS has worked for several months with English as the language.  That recently "spontaneously" changed to Slovak.  How do I get back to English?

Greetings,

Cameras don't typically change display language unless selected.

If the camera was stored correctly without a battery installed for an extended period and the internal battery also depleted, it's possible you would loose language, date and time.

Try pressing the Menu button, then navigate to the Settings Menu (Wrench Icon). Scroll down and look for Language.  You may have to use a translator app if it's in Slavic 😉.  Select English and then press Set.

This should help.
