PowerShot SX 530 HS Issue

My PowerShot SX 530 HS turns off and on, and switches between settings on its own. I've only had it for a year or so, and I haven't damaged it at all, so I am wondering why it's malffunctioning. Has anyone had the same issue? Is it possible I just need a new battery?

Hi chocomags,

It sounds like there may be some electrical or mechanical malfunction internal to the camera. A new battery may not resolve the issue, but if you have a camera shop nearby that has a model which uses the same battery it is certainly worth trying a second battery out just in case. Otherwise, the camera may need repair, which you can set up by using the link below.
