I have a Cann PowerShot SD800IS and the pics will not download off the camera to the computer.  What is the correct memory card to use?  I have a SanDosk Ultra Plus 16gb card that I am using.  Could this be the trouble?  What memory card is used for this camera?  What gb?  Please let me know, thank you!!

Hi there!

The PowerShot SD800 IS is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!

What exactly is the problem?  Do you HAVE pictures on the memory card....can you view them in the camera?

The card you have is not an issue here. SanDisk is a good reputable brand.

If this is a MICRO SD card in an adapter, you should switch to a FULL-SIZE SD card. The micros do not function well in many cameras.

If you have images on the card, downloading them to your computer should be simple. Connect them with a USB cable. The camera should mount in Windows File Explorer as a drive, or on the desktop of a Mac or Linux. If this is not happening, try another USB cable, or another USB port on the computer. It is possible the USB port on the camera is bad. This is an 18-year-old camera. They don't last forever.

You can also put your SD card in a computer with an SD-card port, or use an SD-card adapter to plug into the computer.
