Hi can someone help me out! My grandma gave me her old digital camera and I’m trying to figure out how to use it. I’m having trouble taking a picture on it. It lets me take a photo on the auto mode but if I switch it to photo mode it won’t let me take any pictures, especially if I have the flash on. What do I do?

Thanks for posting!
While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, the Canon PowerShot SD1300 has been retired. That means we do not offer support for the camera. We recommend updating to a more modern camera and reaching out to our Canon Upgrade Program specialist who will go over the best options for upgrading your camera. Do you mean "P" mode? What happens when you try to take a picture?
Make sure the batteries are fully charged.

Yes like I switch its to photo mode instead of auto or video and it’s on the p program. When I click to take a picture with flash it just stays on the same screen. Sometime to orange light turn on but it never captures the picture
