Is it time to upgrade from my PowerShot ELPH360HS?

This is probably my 4th Canon in 25 years and is probably at least 5 years old by now. I want to stick to a small point and shoot form factor. I still see this model on the website but assume it's been improved from 5 years ago. Would it still be a good choice? 95% of pictures are cars I list online at Ebay, Facebook, etc. I can see flaws in my current camera's lens that look like spots or dust, and sometime the pictures are under or over exposed.

It's an 8-year old camera model. If Canon is still selling it new, great , but it's not likely to have been "improved" at all.

Spots or dust inside the lens don't affect images until it gets extreme, and the result would be loss of contrast. If light transmission was being affected the camera's metering system would compensate.

What does "sometimes" mean? Under what conditions does it over/under expose? No metering system can guarantee "perfect" exposure without fail.
