Hi captkaos1974!

Welcome to the Canon Forums and thank you for your inquiry!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly which Canon equipment you're using and the Computer Operating System you're using (Windows XP/Vista/7/8 or Mac 10.x).

Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue!

Thanks and have a great day!

I have the Powershot SX50 HS with Windows 7

When I open the Camera Window, the error message comes up.
I close the error message and I can use this program. Digital Photo Professional also works just fine.

Hi captkaos!

The error you are receiving is a Windows error code, not one generated by the Canon software.  I tried searching for what the error means and it is possible it has something to do with the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Try uninstalling the .NET Framework, then download and reinstall it from the Microsoft website.  If at that time you still receive the error, you will need to contact Microsoft directly for assistance with resolving the error.
