I just purchased another Canon camera. I have had several over the years and have always loved them, but I am stumped with this one because there doesn't seem to be a way for me to connect the camera to my laptop using a data cord. My most recent camera had a little flap you could lift on the side to gain access to the ports to do that, but this camera doesn't seem to have that option. That disappoints me as I prefer getting to the pictures that way rather than using a card reader. Any advice?

Greetings,
The IXUS is a series. Which model do you have? Newer models use a mini USB type B connector for connectivity. The first IXUS camera was released in 2003 (21 yrs ago).

USB is the only digital cable used back then. It would definitely be a mini-USB port. What other ports are there?
