Does my G7 10MP camera have a light meter?

I'm reading a book by Bryan Peterson called "Understanding Exposure". What thing he mentions early in the book is the use of a Light Meter. However, I can seem to find mine.

If anyone could tell me where it is/what it looks like that would be very helpful. I've searched the manual but the work "indicator" comes up and I'm not sure if this is the same thing.

Thank you for the link. I need to spend some more time reading the manuals. I regret throwing away the printed ones I had. I guess I just figured I could find them online somewhere. It was nice to have the hard copy to, though. I might order a set (basic and advanced).
