Does anyone know how to disable the display timeout on the A80? I would like to use the camera with the display on a TV using the A/V cable, and would like to have the display available indefinitely. I also have a G9 that I could use for this, but it appears to have the same problem for my application.
Thanks in advance.

DaveKocher,
There is an option in the menu of your PowerShot G9 (and may also be present in the A80) called Power Saving. If you disable this function, the camera will not shut off. The maximum amount of time that the LCD is available to be left on without inactivity is 3 minutes. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause you at this time.
