Canon sx530 hs auto focus while shooting video.

I have been shooting video in auto mode but I can't figure out how to focus when zooming in. Any ideas?

You can't really. The contrast detect should kick in after a bit. Since you don't have manual focus, you can't even be a "focus puller" like the big boys.
