Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Not Displaying Anything and Not Reading Memory Card

Hello! I have a problem with my  camera, it's turning on and I can see the display properly but the lens isn't showing anything. All I can see is a pixelated black screen with a few white and blue dots. It's also not reading a memory card that I have but the card works on my Canon DSLR and laptop. I hope someone can help, thank you! 414628187_795718962286021_4827651947032705976_n.jpg413170065_1081667236509816_4443504288505405427_n.jpg

Greetings,

Because this camera is 16 yrs old, I wouldn't spend too much time on it.

Please ensure the battery is fully charged and is of known quality.  Remove the card.  Reset the camera's settings to default.  Test using another memory card with the camera.  If the behavior persists, you'll want to replace the camera.

Hey Eric -

You ever figure this out? I just got one secondhand that is doing the same thing on the screen, but SD card works. Pictures on the SD card were what is on the screen.
