Cannot batch-select / select all photos by date in Camera Connect App (IXUS 255 HS & iPhone 12)

Hii,I am having trouble selecting multiple photos at once to import them to my phone. I have to click every single image one by one, which takes a very long time. I also can’t delete pictures on my camera only manually on the camera. #IXUS 255 HS

When I tap the View button at the bottom left, it only gives me four layout grid options (changing sizes/list view) but does not offer a "Group by Date" or "Display by Date" option.

This is not a major issue as I can still download my pictures in good quality just a time consuming one, thanks for reading and hope someone can help!
