paper jam on my Canon mf5000 series printer. Help!

Hi!

I have a paper jame on my canon mf5000 series printer.  I've tried simply removing the toner cartridge and pulling out the paper.  Some of the paper must have torn on got stuck in there.  Anyone know how to fix this?   Is there a way to loosen the "grab" in there and get the bit of paper out without a screwdriver?   Help!!!
