I keep recieving an error code 5200 for my Canon MB2300. I have tried turning off the printer and unplugging the printer, re-starting the computer, and then attempting to print again.
I recently put a new off-brand black ink cartridge in the printer, which is causing it to print poorly with smudges (even after cleaning and deep cleaning the print head). I have printed the test pattern several times with no error code.
I am dissapointed that I can't replace the black ink cartidge with a new Canon brand before the old off brand cartridge runs out of ink. I am trying to force it to run out of ink by printing a completely black page. Is this causing the error code perhaps?
Thanks,
Matt
