Hello,
We have CANON ImageClass MF646 CDW, how do we access the admin web page and also the default credentials to be used as an admin?
We're planning to set up scan to email but is getting stuck on this part.
Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Greetings,
Access to the remote UI can be done initially (first run) or after. Doesn't matter. 😀
I am using Gmail for my email host.
SMTP settings for m365 are as follows.
smtp.office365.com
user: full email address
password: use an app password
port: 587
TLS encryption: enabled
Note: the setting people usually miss is the outgoing port (587). This is on a different page in the remote UI. Let me know when you have access.
Here is the path. You'll edit (change it) to port 587
Here is the path to the email config. you will use the settings above applicable to m365.

Hey there!
Can you please double check your printer model? We don't appear to have one with 646.

Hi ChaewonX,
In addition to confirming the model number as @SamanthaW requested, please tell us what the printer is connected to and how? USB, wireless or Ethernet?
Thanks

Its via wireless network.
Were able to scan to computer by downloading the drivers ans mf scan util.
Just want to setup the scan to email but is unable to access the admin webpage even with accessing the ip via the device properties.

Greetings,
I have the same printer. I have scan to email set up as well.
When you turn the printer on first run, you are prompted to set up access to the remote UI. Did you do that?
You can confirm the printer's IP address by looking at the list of attached devices on your router and seeing what it's assigned. You can also look at The wireless configuration on the printers LCD. It will show you the name of the network it's connected to as well as the IP. Yhe printer has been assigned.
Enter that IP address in the address bar of your web browser (very top) and press enter.
Once you have access to the remote UI, we'll go through the scan to email configuration.
Here is more information in the documentation:
The default log in is 7654321
The IP of my printer is 192.168.1.99 (example)

Hi Rick,
Thank you so much for your help, its highly appreciated. I dont think we set up the Remote UI yet. Seems like I'm using the correct IP address as I can also see it from our network for the printer.
To verify, if we have not yet set up the Remote UI, does it mean we will not be able to access the admin page? Or it doesn't matter?
In addition, do you happen to be using M365 email account for scan to email or nah?
Thank you!!
