I have a Canon MF643cdw printer as a local printer on a Windows 11 pro desktop connected by usb. A few days ago I upgraded the desktop to the Windows 24H2 level. When I now switch on the printer, the printer itself prints 4 pages. On the first page there are a few lines :
POST /ipp-print HTTP-1.1
Connection: keep alive
Content-type: application/ipp
User-agent: Windows internet print provider
Content-Length:626
host:local host"
I already uninstalled and re-installed the printer, unchecked the informative notifications. But no success. Is there someone with a solution ?

Yesterday I was forced to go to windows 11 24h2. I am running with it for 2 days now and the issue has disappeared. Printing and scanning both work. So it looks Microsoft did something in the latest build to solve it.
My configuration now is :
Windows 11 Pro 24H2, build 26100.3194
For the Canon MF643cdw I installed the newest driver GPlus UFRII version 3.12 released 2 weeks ago.

I rolled back to the previous release but recently was forced to 24h2 again and the issue came back imeediately. Is there a solution for this issue?

Hi Bernard ,
Please visit the support portal for your device and tell us the name of the print driver you installed. The behavior that you describe indicates a problem with the print driver being used or a problem with its installation.
@BRIESE,
This is another user's topic, different model, printer, etc. Please start your own topic so that your issue can receive the visibility it deserves.

I would start a new topic but I do not know how. When I click into the link you post, it takes me to an area but I do not see anywhere to start a new topic.

Rick,
this one I installed as the newest:
File Name[Windows 64bit] Generic Plus UFR II Printer Driver V3.12
TypeDrivers
File Name
GPlus_UFRII_Driver_V312_W64_00.exe
File Description
This is a Canon-developed Generic Plus UFR II Printer Driver. This is a generic printer driver that supports various Canon devices. You can use the same driver for all printer models by changing the settings for the printing port and device information.
I tried to get the changelog with the contents of this new driver but have not seen it yet.
Other vendors have the same problem with their printers. I have seen messages with the same issue on the HP and Brother forums after migrating to Windows 11 24H2.
I hope you can solve this.

I have done nothing for the last three days to try and remedy the issue. However, the issue has resolved itself for some reason. From two to three random output a day to nothing. Weird. That doesn't mean it will not pop up again in the future. But for now, there have been no more instances of random printing.
