Trying to replace toner cartridge and it will not release on one side. Any suggestions?

It sounds like something is mis-aligned.  When you slide the toner tray out do all of the toners appear to sit horizontal (evenly).  

The toner tray should move in and out freely.  Do you notice any binding?  Gently pull the toner tray out so its fully extended from the body.  Then lift straight up and out.
