imageCLASS MF455dw compatibility with European 057 toner cartridge

I have a Canon MF455dw printer that uses the Canon 057 printer cartridge. I'm interested in buying a new one from a vendor that says what they have is a genuine Canon 057 cartridge, but that it's a European toner. Does this make any difference? Will it work in my printer?

It's sounds like you could be considering a grey market purchase.  I recommend you not subject yourself to the potential frustration, lack of compatibility or support.  It's up to you.
