imageCLASS MF249dw prints 4-6 mostly blank pages with cryptic info upon startup

I have a Canon MF249dw printer as a local printer on a Windows 10 desktop connected by usb. When I now switch on the printer, the printer itself prints 4 to 6 pages. On the first page there are a few lines and the rest are blank:

POST /ipp/print HTTP/1.1
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-type: application/ipp
User-agent: Windows Internet Print Provider
Content-Length: 571
Host: local host"
☻☺☺G↕attributes-charset♣utf-8Httributes-natural-language☻en-usEprinter-uri↓ipp://lo

What is this and why has it started doing it this week?  How do I fix this?

It is the first time I see issue this in combination with windows 10. All other questions about this were on the Windows 11 24H2 update. You probably installed the monthly Windows 10 updates or was forced to Windows 11 by it.

I have not seen a solution for this yet. You can try the new Canon driver that was released early februari. Let me know if it works.

I personally rolled back to an earlier Windows 11 release and than the issue disappeared. I contacted the Canon customer support a few weeks ago about it but I only received a notice that they would investigate the issue. Never heard again from them.

I have not installed any new drivers.  The drivers that are in use are most likely the drivers it came with.  If there is a new driver in use, it would had to of been installed my an automatic Windows update.  I have never installed new drivers, firmware or software.  This particular problem has just started happening about five days ago.  I had not noticed it until I saw paper in the output tray of the printer.  When I checked the pages it had one page of this:

POST /ipp/print HTTP/1.1
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-type: application/ipp
User-agent: Windows Internet Print Provider
Content-Length: 571
Host: local host"
☻☺☺G↕attributes-charset♣utf-8Httributes-natural-language☻en-usEprinter-uri↓ipp://lo

and four blank p[ages.  I had this happen last evening and then I found the print out again this morning. Is this a driver issue or a connectivity issue or a computer issue?  What can I do to stop it?

My Canon imageCLASS MF249dw, SN: F173702, will randomly cryptic print pages at odd during the day.
The first page will have this on it:
POST /ipp/print HTTP/1.1
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-type: application/ipp
User-agent: Windows Internet Print Provider
Content-Length: 571
Host: local host"
☻☺☺G↕attributes-charset♣utf-8Httributes-natural-language☻en-usEprinter-uri↓ipp://lo
The following 4 pages will be blank.
This occurs a couple of times a day.

Do you think it is a printer driver that is causing this issue? If so, do I need a new driver for the computer? If I need a new driver, where can I get a new driver that will be compatible with this model printer and what is the installation procedure?

Earlier I had posted my issue on somewhere here and I was asked to post a separate message that was solely about my printer and not piggy back on someone else's issue.

I have the same problem with Win 10 imageCLASS 465dw, and it seems that when I installed a new printer cartridge, that seems to have caused it, speculation.  ....I had no problem until then.  It prints the pages you refer to when I turn the printer on.  I down loaded the new program on Canon website and it made no difference.  I deleted the printer and then reinstalled using MF240SeriesMFDriverV520WPusEN.  The print cartridge was Canon Cartridge 070  MC1-6231-A08H  PS+PPE-FR(40)   ML1-0964-A01H

I turned off the printer and then removed the USB connection and turned the printer on again. It DID NOT print the blank pages.  I plugged in the USB and it DID print the blank pages.  i did not reboot the computer, but when I plugged in the USB, it printed the blank pages.  I turned off the printer with the USB in.  I then unplugged the USB and turned the printer on and it DID NOT print the blank pages.  I plugged in the USB and it DID print the blank pages.  The first page printed on all the errored print saying, in each case, "POST /ipp/print HTTP/1:1      Connection: Keep-Alive      Content-Type application/ipp    Iser-Agent: Windows Internet Print Provider    Content-Length: 571          Host: localhost             There is then a blank line   and then, :three happy faces G attributes-charset(then a shamrockutf-8Httributes.......I stop here, b ut there are additonal printed terms.

Yes, identical to my Canon imageCLASS MF249dw.

I get the same print out:

POST /ipp/print HTTP/1.1
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-type: application/ipp
User-agent: Windows Internet Print Provider
Content-Length: 571
Host: local host"
☻☺☺G↕attributes-charset♣utf-8Httributes-natural-language☻en-usEprinter-uri↓ipp://lo

BUT.. I have not had an occurrence of this in two days whereas in the last two weeks it has happend two or three times a day.

I disconnected power and reconnected mine two days ago.  If I could I would have turn off the printer and back on again but oddly enough, the Canon imageCLASS MF249dw doe NOT have a power button.  To turn it off, the power plug has to be [pulled and re-inserted.  Very odd.

Anyway, the output paper tray has stayed empty for two days other than commanded prints.  Sure wish there was a way to know what exactly is going on here.
