i-SENSYS LBP742Cdw keeps asking for paper selection

I just purchased this printer and I sm having a terrible time with it. I can't consistently print to it. I am sure it is a very simple set up but I have no idea what

 It tries to print but then keeps asking for paper selection. No matter what I seem to select it doesn't like it. 

Not even sure 8 plugged my printer cable into the correct port. I tried top and bottom but same results.

We need some additional information to help.  

What OS version and build are you using the printer with?  

Based on your description, it sound like you are using a USB connection.  Is this correct?  It's important to install drivers for the printer before connecting it to a system.  

This model does not appear to be sold in the US.  What country are you in?  I'll provide download info and next steps once you reply.
