Unable to print musical notes on my iSensys MF643Cdw

Hi guys,
My wife is a music teacher and every now and then would love to print musical notes for her students. For some strange reason she haven´t been able to print notes with our Canon MF643Cdw-printer. I have looked for settings and special printerdrivers with no luck. We have tried with our different Macs and even with PC to print her notes but only blank pages come out of the printer. Luckily our Epson inkjet does the job. I know our Canon printer is not the latest model and I am very happy with it unlike my wife. Any ideas?

What is the file type you are printing, and what app are you printing from?  If you want to post a link to the doc or file, I'd be happy to give it try.
