The connection type is automatically configured when you run the UFRII installer. When run you select the radio button for the desired connection type. If you select ethernet, there is also a check box and "wake" option that sends a packet to "sleeping" network devices in case they are in a low power or standby state. You are then given the option for automatic detection or the ability to supply an IP address.
