I just opened a brand new MF654CDW.
Right out of the box the hinge on the right seems unusialy loose. Is this normal or should I return or exhange it?
Please see the video below.

Greetings,
Everybody has a different threshold and expectation. I am of the opinion that things which come out of the box should work, without defects or compromise.
If It's a matter of you needing to tighten something, go ahead. If it's anything else, I'd probably exchange it, even if it's a pain.
I'm not big on making compromises with a new piece of equipment. When you purchase new, that's what it should be. I haven't seen this model printer yet in person. That looks like it might allow you to scan a thick original like a book. I might visit a retailer and see what theirs looks like, then decide. I just can't say with certainly since I haven't seen one yet. The other option is to contact Canon. I don't know how much time you want to spend.

Thank you for the suggestion. even it is normal, it seems so oddly loose right outside the box. Hope to see what other users would say..
