MF642C gmail email error

Whenever I try to scan a document to an email inbox I get an #806 error message.  Network printing and everything else seems to work fine except this scan to email feature. 

Settings are Below

e-mail/i-fax settings

SMTP server smtp.gmial.com

E-Mail Address: [Removed email per forum guidelines]
POP RX: Off
Authentication/Encryption Settings
POP Authentication Before Sending: Off
SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH): On
User Name: [Removed email per forum guidelines]
Password: Set.
Use TLS for SMTP: On
Verify Certificate: Off
Use TLS for POP: Off

Port Number Settings
LPD: 515
RAW: 9100
WSD Multicast Discovery: 3702
HTTP: 80
Multicast Discovery: 427
POP3: 110
SMTP: 587
FTP: 21
SNMP: 161

Likely a typo, but your SMTP address is incorrect....

Not sure if this is a personal gmail address or Gsuite for business??

Either way.

Gmail uses ports 465, 587 or 993 with TLS or STARS/TLS for authentication. 

Google these settings and modify the config on the printer.

Also, it is sometimes neccessary to enable allow "Less Secure Apps" to connect in your account settings in order for some clients to work properly. 

If you are using 2 factor auth, an App Password has to be created and used.

Good catch, shadowsports! Gmail is spelled incorrectly! 

And I believe you might also be right about "Less secure apps." Google recently (within the last few years) made some strict-ish security changes that requires third party access to have a special use password. I remember using this when I sat my own printer up. 

NOTE: I am NOT a tech for this product. I'm just weighing in on the conversation.
