My color ink was gone after printing a few pages in color. I bought new cartriges, installed them and the printer showed them only as half full. Why is that? A few months later, the color ink is gone again. I am not printing anything in color (only grayscale), where is the ink going? Now I can't print in grayscale until I replace the color ink. I keep on buying color ink... Is this normal?

Hi adonchev,
Grayscale is often confused with black and white, but are quite different. Gray scale ONLY uses color ink to produce the 256 different shades of gray, and no black ink is used. Black and white printing has only 2: 100% black and 0% black.
If you are printing primarily documents, I would suggest disabling grayscale to minimize color ink usage.
