Issues with my computer recognizing imageCLASS D1650

Purchased a D1650 Image Class 3 months ago and bypassed the PIN configuration as I intended to only print and copy.  Connected via USB and all worked well until this morning my computer did not recognize the D1650.  Have reinstalled drivers several times, even downloaded them.  When I click Print, the only Canon printer icon I get is Canon Generic Fax Driver.  Troubleshooter tells me the machine is not connected to my computer and my machine is not recognized even after reinstalling drivers.  Have had Canons for years, but am stumped!
