I have tried both on wi-fi as well as directly connecting a network cable but in neither instance does the printer show in Cannon Print.
As for the waking for airprint, unless I go over to it and tap the screen to wake it up, it will not show as an available printer. However, the moment I do it does show up as available when trying to print.

Greetings,
There is no difference between a wired or wireless connection as far as a router is concerned. They are just different interfaces. I suggest you pick one or the other.
Next step, I suggest you reserve or assign a static IP for the printer. This is done on your router and only needs to be done once.
If you are using any type of VPN, this can affect connectivity to devices on a local network.
After assigning the IP and ensuring you aren't using VPN, delete the printer from the Canon print app, then re-add and retest.

I am using a static IP, not using a VPN and I cannot add the printer in the Cannon Print app in the first place so there is nothing to remove.
