I have a canon laser printer, model ImageCLASS MF4890dw. I am getting black streaks on my printed pages. I suspect these streaks are coming from the large roller, visible after removing the toner cartridge. I would attempt to clean this manually but it is locked in place. I do not know how to unlock it.
I replaced the printer cartridge with a new one, as suggested by google AI. I tried to run "Clean Fixing Unit" but it just returns "Cleaning failed." I have no print jobs in memory (I unplugged and re-plugged in after a minute). I do not have a paper jam or a nearly empty toner cartridge.
Please help, if you can.
Thank you in advance,
John G.

Hello John G.
Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The ImageCLASS MF4890dw is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!
