False paper jam message on mf654cdw

I’m getting an error message indicating a paper jam but there is no paper jam.  I have followed the procedures for clearing paper jams from each possible jam point and found no problems. The printer is only 6 months old and we have never had a paper jam of any kind.  We havre never had to manually remove a sheet of paper nor have we had a situation where pieces of a page have torn off in the machine that could cause this error.  There is a small amount of dust inside the machine but I don’t believe it’s enough to cause this problem.  I could be wrong about that.  I suspect a faulty sensor is causing the problem but I can’t find anything looking like sensors.  The pictures I’ve found on the internet have not been helpful.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Greetings,

In this case, I would recommend registering your product in your MyCanon account (first).  Then contact support.  The printer has a 3-year warranty. 😉
