Error when trying to print to PROGRAF Pro-1000 from Professioal Print and layout

Keep getting the error - "Please check the printer's operational panel or the Remote UI." I've deleted and re-installed the printer driver several times, there is no message on the printer operational panel, and I've clicked on "Display remote UI" with no results. I can print with no problems from Lightroom. A secondary issue is trying to get the printer to recognize non proprietary paper ICC profiles. Right now I can only print with Canon paper.

Any help would be appreciated.
