imageCLASS MF8280Cw Photo Printing Smearing on HP Professional Business Paper

I am hoping for some help with a problem that is driving me crazy.  I am attempting to print copies of my daughter's graduation photos using my ImageClass MF 8280 C.  The photos print fine on plain paper but I am trying for a higher quality result.  I purchased a package of HP Professional Business Paper" which is "designed for laser printers" because, no surprise, Inkjet paper didn't work.  I chose "Graphics" on my print quality options.  Hit print.  And... the result is a smudged mess.  What am I doing wrong?  Tips for better results are much appreciated.  Thank you!

Thanks for posting!

While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, the Canon imageCLASS MF8280Cw has been retired. That means we do not offer support for the printer or updated drivers. We recommend updating to a more modern printer and reaching out to our Canon Upgrade Program specialist who will go over the best options for upgrading your printer. They can be reached at 866-443-8002.

Thank you for your response. However, it would hard to be less helpful. If you ask for guidance on changing your oil, how would you react if the response was that you needed a new car? I was really hoping for something better.

Greetings,

Not all papers are created equally.  Are you sure you are printing on the correct side of the paper?
