I purchased by printer in Feb of 2020 and already have probpems. It is stuck in download mode. Says usb ready and shows the IP address and tells me to press stop to exit. I press the stop button and it just cycles back into download mode.
Many of the forms say to install the latest firmware for the device. When I go to the cannon support page for my printer there is no fiurmware for download.
Hlep. I need my printer as I am working from home.
How can I fix this or get ahold of the firmware to install to see if it fixes the issue.

If you need to clear the screen, and other actions aren't working, power off the printer and/or unplug it. Give it ~ 12 seconds, then plug it in/power it back on. That should return it to the home screen.
If the firmware update via the printer's own UI does not work, and it does not tell you that the latest firmware is already in use, double-check the printer's wireless/wired network connection. If the printer is wired, make sure both ends are solidly connected, and the router is allowing the printer to access the internet. If the printer is wireless, check that the router is allowing the printer to connect to the internet, and ensure the printer's signal strength is Good or better.
